Like humans, machines also require maintenance and regular inspections whether there are any damaged parts need to repair. General inspection on the car should be done at least every 2 or 3 months, only if you want to have comfortable driving experience. It is up to you as the owner to have it done in auto service, repair shop or other means.
Some general vehicle inspections include:
1. Exterior and Interior
Regularly clean the exterior and interior of the car from dirt. If too long stick, the dirt will harden and lead the paint to look dull. In the interior, the dirt which is not immediately cleaned will cause odor. You do not have to have it cleaned in a shop service; you can do it yourself.
2. Tire
Do not forget to check the tire condition and air pressure based on the manual book.
3. Water
Always check the condition and the level of battery water, radiator water, and wiper water. Add it if the amount is below the minimum threshold.
4. Oil
Check the volume and quality of the oil in the engine, gearbox, axle, power steering, brake and clutch.
5. Machine
If the engine power is reduced or even if the machine sound ticking, those mean you have to check the condition of the engine in car service. For example, if your car is Mercedes Benz, then go ahead to the Mercedes auto service to have it checked.
6. Drive components
Check also the various drive components, such as the clutch, gearbox, coupling, axle, axles, wheel bearings, as well as the wheels. Make sure the drive components function normally.
7. The lights
Finally, make sure all lights – the headlights, taillights and brake lights – lit perfectly. You certainly do not want to get bumped by other vehicles due to the unlit brake lights, right?
To have comfortable driving experiences, it is worth to have your car always treated properly. You can have it done in a car service or by do-it-yourself.
